Amazon Introduces Private Label Food Brand Aplenty

Amazon is expanding its private label grocery lineup with the addition of Aplenty, a brand that will eventually include hundreds of items such as sweets, frozen foods, pantry staples, and baking mixes. Aplenty is available both online and in Amazon's Fresh grocery stores.

The announcement comes as rival retailer Target also expands its private label grocery offering with the launch of Favorite Day, a line of indulgent food and beverages. 

The addition of Aplenty builds on a private label grocery assortment that Amazon has quickly — and quietly — built as it has focused more on omnichannel retailing.
