Amazon is expanding into Europe's Nordic region's biggest economy. On Tuesday, the online retail giant announced it would soon launch a Swedish marketplace. This makes Sweden the seventh country in the European Union to get its own Amazon sales platform. The news set the country's retail scene abuzz, with analysts speculating about possible launch dates and the possibility of a dedicated Amazon warehouse in Sweden.
“We are pleased to announce that we have started the work to launch the Swedish Amazon.se store to delight local customers and give sellers the opportunity to expand their European business even further,” Amazon announced.
