Amazon Offers Its Help to the Government in Nationwide Vaccination Efforts

The Biden administration has a goal of vaccinating 100 million Americans in the next 100 days, and Amazon wants to help. In a letter addressed to President Joe Biden, Amazon executive Dave Clark said that the online retailer was prepared to put its facilities, operations, information technology, and communications capabilities to work in order to distribute and administer the coronavirus vaccine. He also asked that Amazon employees whose jobs require them to report to the workplace rather than work from home receive the vaccine "at the earliest appropriate time." 

Amazon’s COVID-19 expense surpassed $7.5 billion through the third quarter and it expects to incur another $4 billion in COVID-19-related costs during the fourth quarter.
