Amazon Prime Day Officially Has a Date

Despite the delays, vice president of Amazon Prime Jamil Ghani thinks that this year's Prime Day will be the biggest one ever. Instead of being Amazon's "Christmas in the summer," this Prime Day will kick off the holiday shopping season in earnest. Starting October 13 and lasting two days, Prime Day is expected to bring Amazon a big boost in sales, as well as increased visibility for its products and its famed subscription program. Black Friday and Cyber Monday will come hot on Prime Day's heels, much more so than in years past, but Amazon doesn't seem worried.
