Amazon has announced another hiring spree. Previously, the online retailer hired 175,000 temporary workers to cope with the high volumes and demand associated with pandemic-era shopping. (70% of these hires would later be offered permanent positions with the company, Amazon said.) In September, Amazon brought in another 100,000 workers for operations in the U.S. and Canada. Now, the online retailer has announced that it is seeking an additional 100,000 seasonal workers.
The jobs offer "a path to a longer-term career, or can simply provide extra income and flexibility during the holiday season," Amazon said.
