Amazon Will Hire 75,000 New Logistics and Fulfillment Workers

Amazon's fulfillment and logistics operations are expanding, and the online retailer is staffing up. To attract the 75,000 workers the company needs, Amazon is offering pay starting at more than $17 an hour, along with a sign-on bonus (in some locations) of up to $1,000. For those who show up to work and are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Amazon is offering a $100 benefit. The high starting pay and incentives show that the retailer is aware of how competitive the job market has become. 

Amazon is making a hiring push as talent is becoming more expensive. Higher demand for e-commerce has pushed up demand for e-commerce workers, making the job market competitive among employers.
