Dollar General Makes Plans to Hire 20,000 New Workers

Dollar General has plans to expand its store fleet by more than a thousand in 2021, with the potential to open as many as 17,000 new stores in the foreseeable future, according to COO Jeff Owen. Now the retailer is going on a hiring spree to match. It expects to bring in 20,000 new workers to fill jobs at every level in stores, distribution centers, its truck fleet, and the corporate store support center. 

The brick-and-mortar doldrums, such as they are, have been happening far away from Dollar General, which has been building out at a furious pace with no end in sight.
