Retailers are trying to solve the problem of how to market and sell during a holiday season clouded by an ongoing pandemic. Some retailers are spacing out their holiday promotions and deals; Home Depot is one of them. While the home improvement retailer will be open on Black Friday, the Black Friday deals themselves will be available over a two month period, online and in stores. Starting in early November and lasting through December, Home Depot's Black Friday is meant to negate the need to gather in crowds to snag fleeting deals. Instead, customers will have two months to take advantage of Black Friday savings.
Home Depot wants to keep momentum from stay-at-home trends going as it sells seasonal decor such as artificial trees, snowman lawn inflatables and strings of Christmas lights.
