As part of its big bet on beauty, Kohl's is partnering with Sephora to bring the beauty retailer into hundreds of Kohl's stores in the next few years. These Sephora locations will replace Kohl's beauty department in the stores they occupy, and they will be staffed by associates trained by Sephora. President and CEO of Sephora Americas Jean-André Rougeot stressed that the partnership with Kohl's is not a pop-up collaboration, but a long-term investment.
The announcement comes in the wake of Target's news that it is bringing Ulta Beauty into 100 stores in 2021.
“This new collaboration is an excellent example of two customer-centric, purpose-driven companies leveraging each other’s strengths to make aspirational beauty far more accessible to millions of customers all across the country," said Kohl's Chief Executive Officer Michelle Gass in the news release.
