Consumers are increasingly searching for comfort items such as slippers and holiday-related products such as stocking stuffers, and Kohl's has taken notice. The department store retailer announced that it is responding to an uptick in product searches for "all things cozy and comfort" on its website by emphasizing those product categories, as well as adding new brands. It's another sign of the changes the coronavirus pandemic is making to retail, as consumers prioritize comfort in their homes and safety outside them. Kohl's has made contactless services available in its stores, offering drive-up and in-store pickup and touchless payment options.
“With customers starting their shopping earlier than ever this year, the holidays are already underway at Kohl’s, and we’re excited to offer a holiday assortment that speaks to how our customers are living today,” chief merchandising officer Doug Howe said in a statement.
