Lowe's wants to diversify its supplier base and give minority-owned small businesses a chance to be discovered by a major retailer. Towards that end, the home improvement chain is partnering with Shark Tank star Daymond John to hold a virtual pitch challenge for these small businesses.
John will host a one-day virtual event to sift through the applicants. The ten finalists will then pitch their products to Lowe's executives. The initiative is called "Making It... With Lowe's."
This isn’t the first way that Lowe’s has prioritized helping minority business-owners since the coronavirus pandemic began.
