Long before the pandemic was news, Best Buy had big ambitions centered around healthcare. The consumer electronics retailer wants to provide the products needed for aging adults and people with chronic medical conditions to manage their health from home. Now, Asheesh Saksena, president of Best Buy Health and leader of those efforts, is stepping down from his role. He will remain with the company as a strategic advisor to CEO Corie Barry. His successor has yet to be announced.
“His time with the company brought us meaningfully closer to our strategic goal of helping millions of Americans stay healthy through consumer technology and related services,” the company spokeswoman said.
