Sam's Club will hire 2,000 new associates for permanent positions ahead of the holidays. Those hired for work in fulfillment centers will receive $2 an hour extra during the holiday season.
Sam's Club is boosting its online options as it enters a holiday season overshadowed by the coronavirus pandemic. Over 100 locations will fulfill and ship online orders, while all 597 locations will continue offering the buy online, pick up in store option. Sam's Club is also adjusting to the new normal by offering smaller packages of holiday food items, acknowledging that many customers will be hosting smaller get-togethers this year.
“COVID-19 has changed how our members shop and the experiences they desire,” Tony Rogers, Sam’s Club’s chief member officer, said in a statement. “We’re listening and evolving our approach to meet their needs.”
