Shipping Delays Seem Inevitable as Pandemic Casts a Shadow Over Holiday Season

E-commerce retailers are already searching for ways to avoid a shipping and delivery crisis during the holiday season. The holidays are always a hectic time for delivery companies, but with the added pressure of the pandemic, which has pushed more shoppers online than ever, companies have good reason to be nervous. Some consulting firms are urging companies to make use of more delivery companies so that delays at one carrier won't have such a huge effect. They are also suggesting that retailers do what they can to encourage customers to do their online shopping weeks in advance, rather than largely on shopping holidays such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
