Shoppers Turned Out on Super Saturday

With Christmas day looming and a vaccine on the horizon, shoppers showed more willingness to leave their homes for trips to stores than they did on Black Friday. Super Saturday (the Saturday before Christmas) still saw a fall in foot traffic from last year's figures, but it was not as steep as the year-over-year drop seen on the day after Thanksgiving. Still, it wasn't all good news. 

In Covid hot spots, like California, quieter scenes played out over the weekend. In the West, foot traffic was down 47.2% on Saturday, compared with a 34.8% decline in the South...
