Target Adds Fresh Groceries to Pickup Services

Target is making a big change, one that will reach 1,500 of its 1,871 stores by the holiday season. The retailer is offering fresh grocery products for its in-store and curbside pickup programs (called Order Pickup and Drive Up, respectively). Until now, such goods were only available for delivery. The change corrects a big weakness in Target's online grocery game.

Because fresh groceries weren't previously available via Target's pickup services, online grocery shoppers may not have relied solely on Target for their grocery needs.
