Target Announces New Food and Beverage Line

Following the big success of Target's Good & Gather brand, which raked in about $2 billion in sales last year, the retailer has announced another foray into food and beverage. In the wake of a pandemic that changed how consumers shopped and where and what they ate, Target is launching a private label brand focused on indulgent treats. It's called Favorite Day, and it will include more than 700 products such as premium ice creams, bakery goods, and cake decorating supplies. 

Rick Gomez, chief food and beverage officer, said Target has been developing Favorite Day for more than a year, but said it has gained relevance as people eat more meals at home and crave small ways to escape a stressful and monotonous time.
