Last week, Walmart got in touch with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The retailer filed a complaint that challenged Kanye West's Yeezy brand logo design, a design that Walmart argues too closely resembles its own. The retailer is concerned that customers may be misled by the resemblance and think that Walmart and Yeezy are affiliated. In the complaint, Walmart cited the potential for injury and damage to its name and to the goodwill it has built with customers.
Yeezy's proposed logo consists of eight three-dot spokes radiating outward in a star-like pattern. Walmart's logo, which the company has used since 2007, has six solid spokes with rounded ends.
