Walmart Media Group Increased Advertisers by 40% This Year

Walmart's e-commerce business grew 79% over last year in the third quarter, and advertisers are taking notice. The retailer's advertising arm, Walmart Media Group, had a great year, growing its advertiser base by 40%. It helped that Walmart had launched a self-serve ad portal in January, as well as other tools to help marketers advertise effectively with the retailer. 

The growth in Walmart's media network indicates that marketers see value in the vast troves of data that retailers can collect about their customers who may be close to making a purchase.
