The e-commerce battle for India is gaining momentum as the giants involved move to get their piece of the market. Most recently, Walmart has partnered with billionaire Gautam Adani to build a massive warehouse, totaling 534,000 square feet. The number gives some idea of the scope of Walmart's ambitions in the country. According to the agreement, Adani Logistics will build this sprawling fulfillment center and then lease it to Flipkart, which Walmart owns.
Up against the Walmart-Adani alliance is not just Amazon, but also Reliance Industries Ltd., the conglomerate owned by Mukesh Ambani, India and Asia’s richest man.
