Walmart Tests Automation and Robotics Technologies

Walmart has not been idle these past few years. Instead of resting on its laurels, the retailer used its vast resources and huge store fleet to adapt to a changing retail environment driven by the rise of e-commerce. And when the coronavirus pandemic arrived in the United States, Walmart moved quickly and decisively to meet the new demand. One area that the retailer has not been afraid to explore has been robotics and automation. From drone delivery and self-driving cars to the Alphabot warehouse automation system and even in-store robots, Walmart is finding ways to incorporate the latest technologies into its operations.
