Beginning in August and running through October, Walmart will convert 160 of its store parking lots into drive-in movie theaters. The drive-in theater has gained in popularity as the coronavirus pandemic shut down movie theaters nationwide. Walmart is partnering with media company Tribeca Enterprises to show films in its parking lots. The retailer will also arrange appearances from celebrities and concessions delivered to movie-goers' cars.
Locations and movie titles haven't yet been announced, but they will be revealed later on a special website. The event will run through October and encompass more than 300 showings.
