Walmart Will Pilot Driverless Delivery Next Year

On Tuesday, Walmart announced a pilot program with General Motors' subsidiary Cruise. Next year, customers near Scottsdale, Arizona can have their Walmart orders delivered by an electric, driverless car.

This isn't Walmart's only autonomous vehicle test program, nor is it the only last-mile delivery method Walmart is testing. The retailer is also involved in drone delivery tests with multiple operators.
