Walmart Supplier Diversity Program in 2012 did over $11.8 billion with Diverse Suppliers. A Diverse Supplier consisted of the following categories, Hispanic Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans, Native American/Alaskan Eskimos, Women, Veterans, Disabled Veterans and People with Disabilities. Under my leadership, Walmart grew their spend in Supplier Diversity from $4.2 billion in 2007 to $11.8 billion in 2012. In 2011, Walmart announce a $20 billion commitment to purchase from Woman Owned businesses, in which Theresa was on the Strategic Leadership team for this strategy and commitment. This commitment was a Global initiative.
Supplier Development -in charge of vetting all potential merchandise supplier. The vetting process included verification of Liability insurance, Dunn and Bradstreet registration, UPC code, EDI capability. In the 15 months of my leadership an updated Supplier Agreement implemented (last update in 2002), All merchandise agreement electronic and a very proactive involvement from the beginning of the Supplier Agreement invitation was implemented. This changed in the process took the amount of time to complete supplier agreement from 90 to 10 days.
Divisional Merchandise Manager for two different merchandise divisions at Walmart. In this role Theresa was in-charge of trends, procuring the merchandise, space allocation, logistics of domestic and import merchandise into stores, communications to stores, and Profit and Loss statement. Communication and sales reports to executive leadership weekly.
